Senior Sous Chef

Salary: €40-44k

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sous Chef to lead a great team in a high-volume hotel.
  • As Sous Chef you will manage all aspects of the kitchen operation including operational, quality and administrative functions and ensure food is of the finest quality and cooked to perfection.
  • It is key that you have a great understanding of seasonal / current food trends in the market and have an understanding of menu costing and how to deliver GP.
  • Must be hands on and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with proven ability to control service from the front to ensure maximum results during peak periods with an unrelenting focus on quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • People leadership, mentoring, coaching and development experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates creativity in food presentation and a passion for creating delightful dishes
  • Good time management skills to handle busy service periods and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Experience in dealing with EHO audits and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
