Sales Manager

I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client in the Wicklow area for a Sales Manager to join the team at their 4* hotel.The Sales Manager is a hands-on sales role focused on converting wedding and event enquiries into confirmed business and growing the corporate accounts and new business pipelines.

2. Pipeline, database and reporting

3. Corporate sales and account development

4. Teamwork and client handover

The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and works closely with the Marketing Executive, Sales Administrator, Revenue, Reservations and hotel operations teams.

Specific targets will be agreed with the Director of Sales & Marketing once current baselines and reporting definitions have been confirmed. Measures should balance commercial outcomes with the sales activity needed to achieve them and may include:

• Enquiry response and follow-up standards for weddings and events.
• Show rounds conducted and conversion of enquiries and viewings into confirmed business, alongside wedding and event revenue against agreed targets.
• Retention and production of existing corporate accounts, new corporate business secured and pipeline development against agreed targets.
• Completion of agreed client appointments, account reviews and targeted sales activity, assessed alongside conversion and revenue outcomes.
• Accuracy and timeliness of pipeline, database and reporting updates.
• Clear handovers and positive client feedback.
