Sales & Events Manager

Salary: €40k

Location: Westmeath

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential corporate clients, groups, and companies for proactive sales efforts.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to help develop effective sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, agencies and bookers to ensure repeat business.
  • Working closely with the Group Sales Manager to develop a comprehensive sales and promotional plans targeting various business segments, including corporate clients, leisure, conferences, weddings, and events.
  • Manage the sales/events office to ensure that there is a prompt and professional response to all incoming sales enquiries via phone, email, or in-person visits.
  • Provide comprehensive and professional information about the hotel’s facilities, services, and pricing to potential clients/customers.
  • Using the companies chosen CRM system ensuring that an enquiries are tracked and followed up to maximise the conversation rates
  • Create and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue across these segments.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to design promotional materials and campaigns that align with the sales strategy.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to adjust promotional activities and optimize results.
  • Participate actively in regular sales meetings to discuss performance metrics, share insights, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Group Sales Manager, General Manager and other team members to develop action plans based on meeting discussions.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Cultivate strong relationships within the local community and industry to generate referrals and repeat business.
  • Ensure that all inhouse marketing material is kept up to date and inline with current promotions.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust as needed.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance sales processes and strategies.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all types of events, including conferences, weddings, concerts, events and social gatherings.
  • Work closely with clients to customise event packages, menus, and setup to meet their specific needs.

Candidate:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Knowledge of local market trends and competitors.
  • Proven experience in sales and events management within the hotel industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
