Private Dining & Banqueting Manager

Salary: €45-50k

Location: Kildare/Dublin West

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of private dining and banqueting events, ensuring exceptional guest service and flawless execution.
  • Manage client relationships from inquiry to event completion, including site visits, menu planning, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with culinary, service, and sales teams to deliver bespoke event experiences tailored to each client’s preferences.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of banqueting and service staff to maintain luxury service standards at all times.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, P&L performance, labor costs, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, licensing laws, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during key events, acting as the main contact for VIP clients and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve service, enhance guest experiences, and drive revenue through upselling and innovation.
  • Coordinate logistics for external vendors, entertainment, floristry, and AV equipment as needed.

 

 Candidate:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury hotel private dining, events, or banqueting management.
  • Strong understanding of fine dining service, event logistics, and high-end hospitality standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with guests, colleagues and suppliers.
  • High attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational costs.
  • Proficiency in event management software and hotel systems
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
