Junior Sous Chef – Dublin – €19 p/h  

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef for our client, a busy restaurant operation in South Dublin.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety 
  • Support the kitchen operations for the property
  • Support the Head Chef in their duties
  • Lead by example in excellent food production
  • Assist in the training of existing and new staff in accordance to standards
  • To pass on all knowledge that will help the property in its day-to-day running
  • Maintain a high level of food quality which will exceed guest’s expectations with every dish.    

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Prior experience as a Chef de Partie/Senior Chef de Partie would be advantageous.
  • Is hands on and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with proven ability to control service from the front to ensure maximum results during peak periods with an unrelenting focus on quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • People leadership, mentoring, coaching and development experience.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence within all levels of the business.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates creativity in food presentation and a passion for creating delightful dishes
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Experience in dealing with EHO audits and relevant regulatory bodies.
