HR Executive – Cork Hotel – €35k plus DOE 

We are currently recruiting a HR executive for our client based in a fabulous Hotel in Cork.

Role Requirements:

  • Overseeing the daily administrative duties of the HR department.
  • Supporting Heads of Department in all aspects of team management, including recruitment, training, performance management, employee engagement, development, and talent planning.
  • Fostering a culture of employee engagement through effective communication, people management, and the implementation of initiatives to improve the working environment.
  • Responding to employee queries in a timely manner.
  • Managing the recruitment process, including advertising, screening, selection, and onboarding.
  • Ensuring all new employees receive necessary documentation and training before starting, providing a positive and professional onboarding experience.
  • Maintaining up-to-date employee files and ensuring compliance with data management and paperless HR systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory training requirements and arranging refresher training as needed.
  • Advising and supporting the Heads of Department in managing the disciplinary process, ensuring fair procedures, appropriate timeframes, and liaising with the Group HR Manager as necessary.
  • Managing and resolving employee grievances in line with company procedures, in collaboration with the Group HR Manager.
  • Submitting the weekly payroll data to the payroll department.
  • Implementing group-wide HR projects and initiatives effectively within the hotel.
  • Maintaining open, transparent, and positive communication with Heads of Department and management teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A qualification in Human Resources 
  • A good knowledge of Irish employment law and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and effective leadership and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay organised. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of performance management processes and experience supporting HR-related initiatives.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving HR issues and improving the employee experience.
