Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager

Salary: €50-60k

Location: Kildare

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve business goals, maximize revenue, and drive market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other stakeholders to generate new business.
  • Oversee the development and execution of seasonal and promotional offers.
  • Manage and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, and offline) to drive brand awareness and increase bookings.
  • Work with design teams to create promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, advertisements, and online content.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize occupancy and profitability.
  • Monitor booking patterns, trends, and the performance of the sales and marketing plan.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, campaign results, and market insights.
  • Oversee the hotel’s digital presence across various social media platforms, the hotel website, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all online platforms, including SEO/SEM strategies to increase online visibility and drive traffic.
  • Manage online reputation and respond to guest reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor, Google, and social media.
  • Promote and coordinate meetings, conferences, and group bookings to maximize hotel space usage and revenue.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, tourism boards, and event organizers to increase the hotel’s visibility.
  • Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Track spending against budget and adjust strategies as needed to stay within financial guidelines.
  • Lead and inspire a team of sales and marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Front Office, Operations, and F&B, to ensure alignment with hotel goals and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular training and workshops for the sales team on effective sales techniques and marketing trends.

Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hotel sales and marketing role, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, competitive market trends, and online travel platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, social media strategies, and SEO/SEM practices.
  • Experience in event coordination, public relations, and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies based on insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS) and booking engines is a plus.
