Hotel HR Manager

Salary: €50-55k

Location: Kildare

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent for all hotel departments.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees into the team.
  • Collaborate with department heads to determine staffing needs and job specifications.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that create a positive, motivated, and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions to understand employee satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Develop and implement recognition programs to celebrate achievements and milestones.
  • Oversee performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, delivering feedback, and conducting evaluations.
  • Implement training and development programs that align with both business needs and individual career growth.
  • Create opportunities for leadership development and succession planning within the hotel.
  • Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment that aligns with the hotel’s core values and promotes a sense of belonging.
  • Champion initiatives and programs that support the well-being, mental health, and work-life balance of employees.
  • Organise and participate in team-building activities, workshops, and events to strengthen team cohesion and the overall work culture.
  • Ensure adherence to all local labour laws, hotel policies, and procedures related to employee relations, benefits, and compensation.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and provide resolutions to workplace issues while maintaining a fair and equitable approach.
  • Ensure HR processes are efficient, streamlined, and consistently meet the hotel’s needs.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers in addressing people challenges, from performance issues to team dynamics.
  • Maintain open communication with employees, ensuring transparency and fostering a culture of trust and respect.

Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in human resources or people management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing employee engagement programs.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (HRIS systems).
  • Empathetic and approachable with a passion for supporting people.
  • A strategic thinker who can align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others.
  • A proactive attitude towards building and maintaining a positive organizational culture.
