Hotel Duty Manager – 5* Hotel – (Accommodation Available)
Salary: €36k

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by providing personalized services and addressing any guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the resolution of guest complaints, ensuring they are dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Regularly walk the hotel property to assess guest comfort, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the hotel’s daily operations during shifts, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the front desk team, housekeeping, and other operational departments.
- Manage the guest check-in and check-out process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in billing.
- Ensure all areas of the hotel are maintained according to 5-star standards, including cleanliness, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, and motivate hotel staff to maintain the highest level of service.
- Communicate effectively with hotel departments to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
- Lead by example, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
- Ensure all health, safety, and security regulations are followed, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and employees.
- Manage emergency situations (fire alarms, accidents, medical emergencies) effectively, following company protocols.
- Assist with daily operational reports, including guest feedback, occupancy levels, and staff performance.
- Support the Front Office Manager/Hotel Manager in the development and implementation of operational strategies.
- Handle cash and billing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
- Ensure effective use of resources while managing costs in all areas of operations.
- Assist in managing the hotel’s inventory, minimizing waste, and controlling stock levels.
Candidate:
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a luxury hotel or similar environment.
- Previous experience working in a 5-star hotel environment is highly preferred.
- A strong background in guest services, front office operations, and team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage with guests and staff.
- Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and maintain a calm demeanour in stressful situations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and lead a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Micros) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanour with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
