C&B Supervisor
Salary: €15-17 per hour
Location: Meath/Dublin
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of conference and banqueting staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during events.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of conference rooms, banqueting areas, and events according to client specifications.
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are adhered to during events.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages, and other event-related services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after events.
- Work closely with clients to ensure their requirements are met and provide a personalized service experience.
- Respond to client queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff, ensuring that they deliver exceptional service standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
- Organise shift schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
- Assist in planning and coordinating conferences, banquets, and special events in collaboration with the events team.
- Ensure the event layout and design meet client specifications and operational requirements.
- Oversee the effective use of equipment and facilities for each event.
- Monitor inventory levels for event materials, linens, and other supplies, and order stock as required.
- Maintain accurate records of event services, billing, and any special client requests.
- Assist with budgeting and cost control measures to ensure event profitability.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and service quality at all times.
- Regularly inspect the conference and banqueting areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and contribute to the hotel’s reputation for excellent service.
Candidate:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within conference and banqueting or a similar environment is essential.
- Experience working in a 4-star or luxury hotel environment is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in managing events and leading teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- In-depth understanding of conference and banqueting operations and event management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a hospitality setting.
- A strong customer-service orientation and the ability to manage client expectations.
- A formal qualification in hospitality management or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility in working hours is required, as events may take place during evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
