Assistant Spa Manager
Location: Galway
Salary: €36k + Bonus
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring that services and treatments are delivered in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
- Lead, motivate, and support the spa team, including therapists, receptionists, and support staff, ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies and deliver exceptional guest service.
- Provide personalised services and attention to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any complaints or issues promptly. Ensure all services meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing spa team members. Organize ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and ensure consistent quality.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards within the spa. Oversee the proper use and maintenance of spa equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of spa products and supplies. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure stock levels are kept at an appropriate level, and assist in placing orders when necessary.
- Assist the Spa Manager in monitoring spa revenue, costs, and profitability. Help develop and implement strategies to improve sales and guest satisfaction while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of promotional strategies to increase spa revenue, including seasonal offers, packages, and loyalty programs.
- Help manage spa bookings and appointments, ensuring smooth scheduling and efficient use of resources. Handle administrative duties, including maintaining records, reports, and payroll.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Candidate:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Spa Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a spa or wellness environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high volumes of guests and bookings.
- A good understanding of spa operations, treatments, and wellness trends.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
