Health & Safety Manager (Hotel Dublin €60k)
We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager for our client. In this position you will be responsible for assessing the risk within the property and work environment. Inspecting hazardous factors in the workplace, quality of equipment and all facilities. The Health & Safety Manager will lead the property toward a healthy and safe work environment by advising, monitoring, and reporting in the workplace and engaging the team in programs that ensure safe practices across the property. The ideal candidate with come from a hotel background and have a qualification in health & safety.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect all work environments to ensure safety in workplace.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.
- Submit Workplace Risk Assessment Report and Workplace Occupational Health and Safety workbook.
- Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
- Advise management regarding health or safety issues.
- Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
- Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures.
- Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.
- Conduct thorough and high-quality safety inspections across the site, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
- Chair monthly H&S meetings with management and operational teams, lead risk reviews, and oversee incident investigations and reporting.
- Oversee the Hotel Safety Statement, updating it when required.
- Implement the H&S management system, coaching and guiding teams at all levels to meet regulatory, statutory, and internal health & safety requirements.
- Conduct site-specific risk assessments and develop action plans to minimize risks for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Organize and lead safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture across the site.
- Maintain and manage all necessary Health & Safety documentation for internal activities, inspections, and compliance purposes.
- Execute regular H&S inspection programs to ensure continuous compliance. BURAMB22
