We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Chef in Galway.
In this position you will manage the team and ensure food production and is carried out to the highest standards. This is a busy operation and you will need to be very hands-on and customer focused.
Location: Galway City
Salary: €60k
Hours: Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update seasonal, nutritious menus tailored to client needs and dietary preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely service.
- Lead and train kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling.
- Manage stock, order supplies, and minimize waste to maintain budget efficiency.
- Manage the client relationship, work with clients to customise menus and ensure satisfaction
- Monitor food costs and maintain high quality within budgetary constraints.
- Supervise food preparation and delivery for on-site and off-site corporate events.
- Coordinate with front-of-house and event staff to ensure smooth service.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance service.
- Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety in accordance with the Health and Safety policy.
- Collaborate with the senior team in the compilation of creative and innovative menus
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years at senior level in Hotels or high end corporate catering
- Client management experience
- Have a passion for food
